Bob Ryan is a seasoned musician, songwriter, and producer from Montreal, Quebec, with a remarkable career spanning over five decades.

He began as a highly skilled guitarist, performing with a wide variety of bands across genres including hard rock, country, and Top 40. Ryan has graced stages in front of crowds of up to 25,000 and collaborated with many of Quebec’s most iconic artists, including Châtelaine, René Martel, Patrick Norman, Les Classels, César, Les Tune Up Boys, La Famille Daraîche, and Céline Dion, among others.

As a prolific songwriter, Ryan has achieved significant success with multiple chart-topping hits. He penned two #1 singles for Véronique Labbé—"One Minute" and "On Se Retrouve Seul"—as well as an additional track on the same album. He also co-wrote and produced "Twilight" and "Daydreaming" for the Canadian rock group Stunned, and more recently contributed two additional co-written and produced cuts for the band: "To The Better Days" and "Radio Star."

Ryan’s songwriting often reflects social and personal themes, including the single "Fire Away" (written in support of the truckers’ protest) and "Slave" (a response to government overreach during the COVID-19 pandemic). He has also explored international influences, releasing the Spanish EP Mis Sueños Cubanos, inspired by his experiences in Cuba.

In addition to his work in performance and original music, Ryan has made a notable impact in the commercial world, composing jingles and contributing to television campaigns for major brands such as Desjardins Visa, Oven Baked Dog Food and Traditions, Mr. Gazon, B.O.F.F. Wall Bed Furniture, BioTerra Spas, and D Super Remover. He has further expanded into film and media with placements including his first exclusive contract instrumental for a trailer with Groove Tower Music in Hollywood, and three single song contracts with Washington Street Publishing, a respected Nashville-based independent publisher and sync music library specializing in indie and vintage music for Film, TV, and trailers.

Now retired from live performance and based in Godmanchester, Quebec, Bob Ryan remains an active and passionate contributor to the music industry. He dedicates his time to writing, producing, and pitching original songs—continuing to create music that resonates with heart, mind, and spirit.
